Alice Frost Kennedy Dog Park (at Vina Vieja Park)

When Pasadena pups need to socialize, they head to the Alice Frost Kennedy Dog Park. This public dog park is located inside Vina Vieja Park, and offers lots for dogs and their owners to love.

Often called Alice's Dog Park, this pupular canine play space is pawfect for any size pup, as it offers a small dog section just for the little dogs. Featuring lots of space and several obstacles for dogs to hop on, hop over, or slide through, this area is sure to please your little doggo. The park also has two larger dog areas for the big canines with lots of space to run and play. All sections are fully fenced in and offer double gated entries for extra protection. 

No matter which area you take your dog to, once you get in the gate, you can take off the leash and let your pup run wild. With plenty of grassy land, there's room for all dogs to socialize, or take a solo stroll if they need a moment to themselves. Drinking fountains for both humans and dogs can be found in all three sections, although they occasionally can create mud around the base. Benches and seating areas are scattered throughout which provide a place to relax while watching your pup get their play on. Shade canopies and lush mature trees offer shade for you and your dog to cool off in. Playtime can get muddy, especially if it rains, so you may want to pack a towel for your furball’s paws to avoid a messy car on the ride back home. 

Parking is located along the entire length of the park and provides lots of spaces, but it can fill up quickly during busy times. In addition to the dog park, the seven-acre Vina Vieja Park is home to a playground for kids, public restrooms, and several sports fields. There are also picnic areas conveniently located across from the off-leash areas. Be sure to clip that leash back on when exploring outside the dog park, and always have clean-up bags on hand to pick up whatever your dog lays down.
