The beautiful Ann D. L’Heureux Memorial Dog Park is located near Hidden Canyon Community Park, once named Larwin Park, and welcomes dogs to romp in off leash abandon!
With easy access and parking off of Carlsbad Village Drive, the dog park is fully fenced and features a double-gated entry for extra security. Once inside, you can take off the leash and let your dog romp to their heart's content! Take a seat on one of the benches under fragrant smelling eucalyptus trees and enjoy a moment of dog bliss.
The enclosure is on the small side, and during busy times, it can get congested with happy pups. Since there isn't a small dog area, smaller pups should be comfortable running with bigger dogs here.  Large trees provide plenty of shade on hot weather days, and a dog drinking fountain helps keep dogs hydrated. Bring a bowl for convenience if you like. And clean-up bags are on site, making it easy to promptly pick up after your pup.Â
With a dirt and woodchip terrain, this park is easy on the paws, but your dog can get a bit dirty in wet conditions. If visiting after a rain, its always good to have a towel on hand for a quick wipe off. All dogs should remain leashed when entering and exiting the dog park, and anywhere outside it. Make sure your dog is current on their vaccinations, and licensed before visiting.Â
If you'd like to continue the adventure outside the dog park, clip on the leash and head down the short trail that leads to the Hidden Canyon Community Park! Here, you'll find restrooms for the humans, walking paths to trek, picnic areas and playground for the human kids in the pack.Â
Answer your dog's call for excitement, and plan a trip to Ann D. L’Heureux Memorial Dog Park today!
