Apple Valley Dog Park (at Civic Center Park)

Apple Valley knows how to treat their pups- with a pupperdise made just for them! The Civic Center Dog Park is located right inside the Civic Center Park, and welcomes pups of all sizes to play leash free. Also called the Apple Valley Dog Park, this 2 acre area is pawfect for an afternoon of fun for your social dog.

The fully fenced in dog park can be found on the east side of the Civic Center Park, across from the retention basin sidewalk, and by the Civic Center Park Aquatic. Once you get through the double gated entry, your dog can ditch the leash and frolic freely with neighborhood furiends. And with a small section for dogs under 25 pounds, and a large dog area for bigger breeds, your dog is sure to find the right size pals to romp with. Both sections provide plenty of space for games of fetch or chase, and are equipped with benches for you to comfortably supervise your four-legged family member. There is also a water fountain in each area which ensures canines remain hydrated during their visit, as well as dog waste bag dispensers and trash cans that make it convenient to always pick up after your dog. Toys and tennis balls are scattered throughout the dog park and are free to use, just make sure to supervise your dog closely especially if you have a chewer! 

Though there are some small trees growing in and around the dog park, there isn’t that much shade. The terrain is grass, which is easy on the paws. Playtime can get muddy depending on the weather, so pack a towel for your dog’s paws after a rain, just in case. 

After your pup has exhausted the dog area, you can clip on the leash and explore all the beautifully landscaped 22 acres that Civic Center Park has to offer. An amphitheater features events, while tennis courts are great for the sports fans in your clan. There's a playground for the little ones, sprawling lawns for picnics or lounging, and a mile of paved walking trails and paths that go around and through the park that your pup will love.
