Ashland Dog Park

In the city of Ashland, Oregon, the dog park is a two-acre fenced area where you can take your dog to run free and play with others. Set on the north side of Ashland, the dog park is close to freeway access, but set far enough away from busy main roads. 

Partially shaded by trees and with plenty of grass, the Ashland Dog Park is a great place to take your pup. The park is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week all year-round. The dog park has easy access to Ashland Creek, where your pup can splash around and cool off during warmer months. The park also provides a water hose and little pools for your dog to cool off in during the heat.

Ashland, as the home of Southern Oregon University, is a quaint, up-and-coming community full of eclectic businesses and sights. The Ashland Dog Park is one of many other dog-friendly areas and places you can visit. With mountain views from nearly everywhere inside the city and endless greenery, Ashland is a beautiful town with a multitude of other attractions, even those open to four-legged family members. 

The dog park is the only off-leash area in the city, and most of the city’s biggest park, Lithia Park, is closed off from dogs. However, there are areas where you can walk your dog. The city’s website has additional information and maps of dog-friendly walking spots in Lithia Park and in other parks and areas.

Each of the dog-friendly parks and properties open to the public in Ashland provide scoops and waste bags. Be courteous to others and responsible for your own pet. Pick up after yourself and your dog. Neglecting to do so may earn pet owners a citation. You should also never bring young puppies who haven’t received all their vaccinations, females in heat, or aggressive dogs to an off-leash park.
