Water is available in the form of a fountain right inside the gate of both the small and large sections of the dog park. Poop bags are available adjacent to the fountain, and garbage cans are scattered throughout the park. Inside the fenced section of the park, you can find several picnic tables available for seating. These picnic tables are strategically placed under some of the larger trees to provide shade to those seated there.
There are several large trees through the park, and they produce a great deal of shade throughout the spring and summer months, only failing to do so after they have lost their leaves each fall. There is enough space at this park to wear out even some of the most energetic canines. Games like fetch or frisbee would be possible if it were not for the abundance of trees through the dog park.
Regardless, there is plenty of space for your canine to run around and socialize with the other canines at the Baldy View Dog Park. The only drawback is for big runners who like to get going quite fast as there is not enough room for your canine to run straight for any considerable distance. The ground here is mostly grass and stays in relatively good shape throughout the year.
The Baldy View Dog Park hosts events for canines and their owners reasonably often and you can learn more about upcoming events through their website or on the newsletter posted on the board just inside the dog park. In addition, there are public restrooms available here for your convenience. This park is not lit and; therefore, closes shortly after sunset.
