Everyone knows that a tired dog is a good dog. Help your pup be their best by taking them to Diamond Head Bark Park for some off leash fun. Here they can run around and get rid of their pent up energy. They will absolutely love it!
Diamond Head Bark Park is located right across the street
from the Diamond Head State Monument on the southern end of the island. During the
daylight hours, local canines come here to let off steam and get some exercise.
At this park, dogs of all shapes and sizes play in the same fenced in area, so
if you have a petite pooch, make sure they don’t mind rubbing shoulders with
their larger peers. And with a double gated entry, you can feel safe getting your pup safely in and out of the dog area.
Once they enter the park, your pupster can ditch their
leash and run around to their heart’s content. They’ll love meeting new
playmates and romping and wrestling. Make sure you keep your eye on your dog at
all times and step in when needed. The park is mostly covered in grass, which
makes it easy on paws, and there are several shade trees for sniffing (and
marking). You can usually find a
ball or toy for fetching.
Pet parents will appreciate the chairs and benches that
are scattered throughout the park. Drinking water is available, so make sure
your doggo takes plenty of water breaks. Since the park provides clean-up bags
and there are several trash cans, picking up after your pooch is a cinch. Make
sure you pick up whatever your pooch puts down. There is also a hose to rinse
off dogs that are a bit too muddy for the car ride home, but do bring a bowl or water for your thirsty pup to drink.
No bones about it, a trip to Diamond Head Bark Park will
make your pooch one happy hound!
