A spectacular park awaits you and your furry friend in the city of Miami, Florida. Baywood Park is just waiting for you both to enjoy some beautiful scenery and some fresh air together.
You will find this lovely park in the Upper Eastside neighborhood of the Bayside Historic District. The actual entrance to the park is located on Biscayne Bay at 69th Street, even though the address is technically on 71st Street. Parking on any of the adjacent side streets during the day is the perfect place to leave your car. Grab your pup’s leash and head out.Â
The first order of business for your pup will be to take a walk along the many paved paths which meander through the park. You will travel through beautifully landscaped grounds and along Biscayne Bay. Spectacular views of the city’s downtown region make for a great backdrop for a selfie of you and Fido! Wandering through this almost 2-acre park will most certainly need to be rewarded with a rest period on one of the many park benches. You will find some underneath the shade of the mature trees or right in front of the water.Â
Check out the remnants of the 1920’s Prescott Manor while you are here. The wrought iron gates and stone walls are very scenic, and provide a glimpse into this park’s past. There are no restrooms nor drinking fountains here, so be sure to plan accordingly and bring your own water bottles to share. =There are doggie waste stations scattered throughout the grounds, so be sure to make use of these when you are here to keep the park always pup-friendly.
Taking some time to enjoy Baywood Park is a great way to spend a portion of your day in sunny Miami!
