Benton Airport Dog Park - Redding

The Benton Airport Dog Park is a two-acre lot designated for dogs to run, play and socialize. The spacious area has trees located throughout the property for shade during the summer months. Little dogs have their own space while the larger dogs enjoy a space all to themselves. 

There are plenty of trees located in the dog park for pet parents to relax and enjoy watching their dog play. The large area is excellent for playing fetch with your dog or allowing him to run as much as he needs. There is a water spout and a large community bowl for dogs to drink and stay hydrated. Some dogs think the container is a bathtub and enjoy jumping into the bowl and splashing around. If you don’t want your dog to drink out of the bowl you can bring a portable one. 

This dog park is beautiful and clean. Pet parents are obliged by law to clean up after their dogs. The park even provides a pooper scooper and trash can to make things easier. You should always bring along poop bags just in case. Dog owners are required to clean up after their dogs immediately. 

All dogs that visit the park need to be on a leash leading up to the dog park entrance. Once you are securely inside the fenced in dog park area, you can remove the leash and let your dog run wild. Owners are responsible for their dogs and need to remove them if they show aggression towards other dogs. 

If taking your to the park at night is your thing, you will be happy to know there is good lighting throughout the park. Overall, this park is large, spacious, great for your dog to run, play, and exercise. It’s also excellent for pet parents to relax and enjoy the outdoors while their dog gets much-needed exercise.
