If making more furry friends is on your pup's barket list this year, bring them to the Simi Dog Park, where all the cool canines hang out! Located above the ballfields in Big Sky Park, this pooch playground is a pawtastic spot for your doggo to expand their social circle. It's a nice gathering place for two-legged folks, too, as visitors say that the people here are friendly. So grab your pupper's leash and hop into the car—it's time for a trip to the Simi Dog Park!
The dog park comprises two separate areas for large and small woofers. Both sections are fully fenced, double gated, and offer lots of room for the city's four-legged residents to sprint, sniff, and socialize. Yep, even the small dog side is a good size! Park benches and picnic tables, a few of which are covered, are provided for the pooch parents to sit while their furry charges run to their heart's content. Don't get too distracted by the chitchat or the pawmazing view, though—always keep an eye on your pup and see to it that they observe proper petiquette.
After your dog has run a few laps around the park, offer them some water to keep dehydration at bay. Water stations and bowls are provided, though some dog parents recommend bringing your own water as the pump may not always work. If your pooch puts something down, don't forget to pick it up—plastic bags are available in the community bag dispensers, which visitors are encouraged to replenish.
It's impawtant to note that while the dog park has a lovely grassy surface, there aren't many trees in the area so there isn't much shade in the summer. Bring a cap and sunscreen on hot days, or drop by when the sun isn't too strong.
For unfettered fun in Simi Valley, you can't go wrong with the Simi Dog Park!
