As this is an off-leash dog park, canines who do not play well with others should try and stay away. If you bring them, anyone, make sure they remain on leash. This area is not your canine's home turf and therefore they are less likely to act aggressively toward the other dogs. Much of this aggressive behavior is due to territorial instincts. There are still serious ramifications if your dog attacks another canine or human, so it is best to leash them if you have any worries.
The gorgeous weather in this area makes it a prime location for some gorgeous walks with your dog. It is a great place to play some frisbee or fetch with plenty of room to run. The dogs themselves make it hard for grass to grow, however the park workers have compensated by mulching the entire off-leash zone.
The greater area of the park is a huge reserve for walking trails and contains tons of vegetation. These areas do not contain the same amenities for dogs, such as the bag stations and watering holes, however, they still make a fantastic place to walk your canine. Your leash will be required for walks in this area, or any area outside of the fenced dog park section.
The far side of the park from the dog park goes all the way up to the ocean beach. This makes for a long but gorgeous walk, with a payday of beauty waiting for you at the end of the trail. Your leash is of course still required at the beach, but splashing a bit in the water and the nice ocean breeze will make your day.
