There is an outdoor stage in the park that often features free concerts, movies, art exhibitions and firework shows. A pawrific thing to do if your stomach is growling, is to grab some food from one of the nearby vendors or restaurants and have a picnic in the grass. The only parking around Capitola Esplanade Park is pay street parking, which is known to be busy and expensive. Why not walk to the park if it’s in your neighborhood? Your pooch will enjoy getting in the extra miles! Leashed dogs are welcome as long as they follow proper petiquette, and you’re willing to stoop and scoop. You'll need to bring your own doggy waste bags. The park also features public restrooms.
