Carlson Dog Park

When Riverside pups need to stretch their legs, they don't have to look further than the Carlson Bark Park! Located at the foot of Mount Rubidoux, this fenced-in, off-leash canine hangout provides a safe environment for four-legged citizens to run, play, and socialize to their heart's content. So if your furry friend is getting antsy or wants to meet new pals, then a trip to the dog park is in order! 

The Carlson Bark Park features not one, not two, but four separate areas for canine visitors to enjoy. In addition to the usual small and large dog sections, there are also enclosures for puppies and training sessions. The training area is pawfect for teaching your pooch to listen to you around other dogs and in a different environment, while the small and puppy areas allow petite and younger canines to play freely without having to worry about getting jostled by the big guys. Whichever section you use, remember to keep an eye on your dog at all times!

Park amenities include human and dog water fountains, benches, and picnic tables. Mutt mitts and trash cans are provided as well, so there's no excuse not to clean up after your furry charge if they go to the bathroom. Due to the pawpularity of the park, some of the grass is worn, so you might want to bring a towel for wiping off your pup's dusty paws.

If your fluffy bundle of energy still has steam to blow after playing in the dog park, take them for a leashed walk on the two nearby hiking trails. Hit the Santa Ana River Trail for a riverside stroll, or follow the Mount Rubidoux Trail for an easy hike to the top of the mountain.
