This park does have lighting to illuminate the park after dark and shelters above the seating areas to protect your from the beating sun during the days. Outside of this singular covered structure for seating and shade, the park has relatively few trees to protect from the sun. This park, for the most part, is an open field. That means there is plenty of space for you to play long-range games like Frisbee or other variations of fetch. This makes for a good park to bring your canine if you are looking to try and wear them out.
In an effort to keep this park well maintained and give the grass time to recover from the high traffic the park receives, this park is closed every Wednesday for general maintenance. This park may also close from time to time due to heavy rainfall or other weather conditions where the park grounds and grass could be damaged by heavy traffic. Information on these closures and field conditions can be found on their website or by calling 949-724-MUDD.
Parking can be a bit limited and you may have to fight for a spot, but this park is worth it as it is quite a beautiful park and the city keeps it very well maintained. They provide dog poop bags to clean up after your canine as well as garbage baskets for you to dispose of the waste.
