Welcome to Central Bark! Open since 2007; this small off-leash dog park is located at the southeastern end of Santa Clarita Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA. Here you will find separate areas for both your small and larger dogs. The facility is also equipped with drinking water for your fur babies and benches for the human visitors to rest.
One thing visitors to this park will notice is that there is no designated parking specifically for the dog park area. While this may be a bit inconvenient to some, there is still plenty of general parking within the park facility. Also, there is no set or marked path to reach the dog park area, so you will have to cross some of the multi-use fields on your way.
When you reach the dog park area, you will find sufficient room for your furry friend to run and play. However, due to the area where the park is located there is not a lot of grass so be sure to bring your doggie wipes. Fido may get a little dusty while running around Central Bark.
A few of the general park rules of note are worth noting for potential visitors. As would be expected, the standard rules of dog parks apply at Central Bark as well. Including no choker-chains or spiked collars, no animals other than dogs are permitted, and your furry friend must be up to date on vaccinations.Â
In addition to the standard rules you find at most dog parks, Central Bark does not allow food and treats to be brought inside the facility. It is also important for pet owners to clean up after your furry babies. Make sure you have poop bags on hand for the inevitable deposits your pup will make. Also, if your Fido is a digger, make sure to fill any holes created while visiting the park.
