Cheyenne Meadows Dog Park

Cheyenne Meadows Dog Park is a public, medium-sized dog park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is located near large open fields, just ten minutes away by foot from the Cheyenne Meadows Park, making it a very popular destination for the neighborhood dog owners.

The park is fenced and has a simple, no-frills layout consisting of two separate enclosures; one for smaller breeds and the other for bigger dogs. Its surface is covered in wood chips thus making playtime cleaner. The open space has a few small bushes, rocks, and logs, allowing you to observe your canine companion at all times. It is also equipped with several dog waste bag dispensers and trash cans so you can clean up after your pooch. 

Since the dog park is surrounded by fields, it has a great, relaxing view and feels quite secluded and peaceful. It is a neighborhood park so most patrons are residents of the area, meaning your pooch can make a lot of regular canine friends and meet them for play-dates that are often organized at this cozy and convenient dog park. Though there are a few benches, some park-goers bring their own foldable chairs and enjoy the sun while they watch their pooches play.

Even though there are no doggie drinking fountains and no bathrooms, this well-maintained park is open 24-hours a day and parking is never a problem. There is also very little shade so keep that in mind, especially during the summer. Make sure to always bring a jug of water and a bowl with you for your canine buddy to enjoy.

The convenient location, large, fully fenced play area, and overall cleanliness of this park make it a local favorite. It is a great place to bring your four-legged family member to interact and socialize with other dogs, especially if you live close by. The dogs are well-behaved and their owners are friendly and very helpful.
