Formerly known as San Bruno Dog Park, the Commodore Dog Park inside the larger Commodore Park features everything from play areas, BBQ pits, and picnic tables to an enclosed dog exercise area, situated at the eastern end of the park.
The off-leash sector is fully-fenced, providing small and large dogs with a chance to romp around freely and socialize with one another. A bonus for San Bruno Dog Park is the separate areas for large and small dogs, which people usually turn into a single, larger space, by leaving the gate, which divides the two sections open.
However, the door can be closed if the owners have any concerns regarding the safety of their pups. Visitors can enjoy benches, picnic tables, BBQ pits, drinking water, plenty of shade, and plenty of greenery as well. Pups have water fountains at their disposal as well as a water bowl near the entrance. There are also plenty of waste bags provided, so everyone can clean up after their dogs and keep the area in excellent condition.
There is also a playground nearby, with swings and baby swings, a baseball field, and a paved walking path where you can take your four-footed family member on a relaxing afternoon stroll. Owners have plenty of parking space near the entrance as well as a beautiful view of planes taking off from the San Francisco Airport less than two miles away.
If your dog is not a fan of such loud noises, then you should also consider that. With so many fun activities taking place, San Bruno Dog Park is a great location for all the members of your family to visit. More so, it is a great place to take your dog to, as they can run around as much as they like for hours on end.
