Opened in 2003, as part of Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s mission to assist both animals and their owners in the community of Encinitas, California, Cricket's Corner Dog Park spans approximately one acre of open space for large and small dogs alike. Located in the North County area of San Diego, California, Encinitas is a beach city and one of the best surf towns worldwide. Cricket's Corner Park is the official Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s community off-leash dog area.
It is located on the shelter grounds and has always been considered an extension of the organization’s backyard. It features a separate area for small and large dogs as well as water fountains, shade trees, benches, and grass. The park has plenty of room for Fido to run, play, and socialize with the other animals nearby. The fact that this property is entirely enclosed is a bonus for owners looking to keep their pups away from road traffic and other distractions.
The separate, enclosed area for small dogs requires puppies to be 11 weeks or older. At the same time, all dogs need to be healthy, spayed or neutered, current on all vaccinations and legally licensed before joining the Rancho Coastal Humane Society community. Pet owners have to clean up after their furry friend, both in the park and in the parking lot, to keep the facility as clean as possible.
Cricket's Corner Dog Park is the place where you can bring Fido to run, play and socialize in a clean and safe environment such as the one from the Rancho Coastal Humane Society. With over 40 years of activity, this organization has given nearly 1.500 animals a second chance at finding a new home and provided dogs with an opportunity to run and play in a healthy and secure setting.
