Deerwood Bonita Lakes Park

Deerwood Bonita Lakes Park is a furrific park located in Miami’s Deerwood neighborhood. This 11-acre park has lots of great amenities for you and your pup, and dogs are welcome to join you in the park on-leash!

Many locals enjoy taking their pups for a walk on Deerwood Bonita Lakes' paved path. This path winds through the whole park, and along the way, it passes by a playground, basketball courts, a lighted soccer field, and baseball fields. The path also goes by a community center that hosts a wide variety of fitness classes, including aerobics, Tai Chi, stretching, Zumba and more. Plus, the path also passes open green spaces where you can take your dog for fun on-leash runs. Trees line the whole path, protecting you and your pup from the hot Florida sun. If you need to clean up after your pup, doggy bag dispensers and waste baskets are available throughout the park. Drinking water is also available in the park—just be sure to bring your dog’s bowl with you!

If all this walking makes you and your dog hungry, Deerwood Bonita Lakes has a pawesome picnic area. This picnic area is located on a beautiful lake, and it has charcoal grills that are perfect for cooking up burgers or hot dogs for you and your dog. Or, if you want to go out to eat with your pup after your walk, there are plenty of dog-friendly restaurants just a short drive from Deerwood Bonita Lakes. This includes Tex-Mex restaurants, seafood restaurants, cafes, and much more!
