Found in the middle of a residential area, this furbulous park features two double-gated entries into the single large dog run. Your dog can ditch the leash once inside, and romp freely with other friendly pups! Covered in woodchips, this park is easy on the paws! The park stretches along Del Mar Drive and provides a large space to run. A shade pavilion provides a refuge from the sun, but otherwise, you and your dog are fully exposed to the rays as there's no other shade, so it may be smart to bring sunscreen. Water fountains are on site at both human and dog height to ensure every pup gets enough hydration. Tables, chairs and benches are placed sporadically throughout for you to take a rest while your pup plays.
Restrooms for the human in your pack are not available in this park, however there are clean-up bags for dogs. Trash cans are conveniently located in the park as well. Ticks have been reported at this park, so do be sure your dog has an active repellent. Some visitors complain about the electrical wiring and transformers boxes located in this area due to the constant buzzing. The park does not seem to have a parking area.
If your pup has had their fill of socializing, but still has some wiggles to get out, the park is located right by the junction of the Iron Horse Trail and San Ramon Cross Valley Trail, just be sure to clip that leash back on.
For a woofderful time cavorting with neighborhood dogs, your pup is going to love the Del Mar Dog Park!
