Demetral Dog Park

Demetral Park is a lovely little park located near East High School in Madison, Wisconsin. This park includes a playground, a fenced-in, off-leash dog area, a covered shelter, restrooms, a drinking fountain, and a nice field to run and play in. The dog area is a bit on the small side, about one acre, however, it is the perfect area to do some off-leash training and games with your pup. The only downside is that Demetral Park does not have a designated small dog area. Be cautious of that if you have a small dog you are worried about.

There are a few rules at this park such as alcohol is not permitted unless you have a permit from the city. Dogs must be leashed when not in the fenced-in, off-leash dog area. Also, your dog should be vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and licensed in order to enjoy this dog area. Madison is such a beautiful area to visit and this is just one of the 8 off-leash parks. If your dog does not have a city license and you are a resident of Madison, Wisconsin you can get the application on the city website. This will allow your dog access to the dog parks in Madison, as well as help identify your dog if he or she got lost. There is a small application fee to process your license.
