Dogport Dog Park

The Dogport Dog Park is a quaint little dog park in Maryland, but it is never-the-less a gorgeous one. Large wooden benches are placed throughout for seating, some in formations great for socializing. There are also no shaded areas in the park, but there are a few trees. 

None of these trees are large enough to create shade, but there are some to the side of the park with enough height and canopy that at certain times of day where you could get a bit of protection from the sun. Outside of those times, you are subject to the fierceness of the sun. There are no structures in Dogsport to provide shade. Water is available out of a spout for your canine, but you would want to bring your own water bowl. 

Outside of the fenced area, the park spans a total of four acres. A decent portion of this land is a gorgeous and well-maintained swath of land. The grass in this area stays green and in good shape. Dogsport does have a pretty decent list of rules and regulations, as well as a registration fee and process for you to be able to use the canine parks available in the city. Those rules and details on registration can be found on their website. 

They also require a fee from residents of the town of thirty dollars, and non-resident dog owners of eighty. Smaller but additional charges are required for additional canines. You must also provide proof of vaccinations and two sources of verification of residency for the reduced rate.

Also available on their website is a schedule of special events at the dog park that would be canine-related. Some of these events are hosted by local businesses and others hosted by the city, either way certainly mean a good time for your canine friend and likely plenty of treats and other dogs to hang around with.
