Dogs Run Free Condon Park Dog Park

At Dogs Run Free, dogs are free to run, jump, play, and socialize to their heart's content! Located within the 80-acre Condon Park, this 1.7-acre, off-leash dog park is a favorite spot among local canines and their humans—once you and Fido set foot and paw here, you'll understand why!

Surrounded by ponderosa pines and scrub oaks, Dogs Run Free provides a beautiful, shaded environment where Grass Valley's canine community can stretch their legs and get some exercise. This fenced-in dog park includes a separate section for small and shy pups, which is pawfect if Fido is not exactly outgoing. Here, dogs get to run around on a soft, pine straw-covered surface and tackle various agility equipment. Water, pick-up bags, and trash receptacles are available in both the large and small dog areas. There are also benches for you and the other dog parents to sit on as you watch your four-legged charges.

Humans enjoy going to Dogs Run Free as much as their pups do; visitors say that the dog park is always well-maintained and filled with friendly people who keep a close eye on their pooches. Dogs Run Free is open to the public at no charge, though there is a donation box in front of the shed if you wish to help out, as it is run by a local non-profit that does not receive any public funds. 

If your furry buddy still has leftover energy after romping in the dog park, hit the trails that weave throughout Condon Park. There are over 3.5 miles of main paths to explore, but note that none of them are named and only a few are marked. Also keep in mind that Fido must stay leashed while on the trails. Whether you stay in the dog park or venture beyond it, always clean up after your pooch!
