Ernest's Park is one of the most popular Sonoma County Regional Parks. Visitors to this public play space love its central location which is near to downtown Sonoma, making it convenient for families as well as easy to find. The on-site dog run welcomes dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds to engage in some off-leash exercise and socialization opportunities.
At this time, there is not a section reserved specifically for use by small, senior, and shy dogs. With safety in mind, owners are required to keep a lead with them at all times. When not enjoying the designated off-leash zones, dogs must remain leashed. Ernest Holman Dog Park is a public dog playground, and all dogs and their owners are warmly welcomed to visit.
There is no charge to access the grounds. The dog play space contains many amenities for Fido and his family to enjoy. There is abundant shade on the property provided by the plentiful Redwood trees as well as benches where owners can relax and enjoy watching their dogs on the playground. Water is also included in the play space to ensure Fido and his friends remain thirst-free.
It is unknown if bathrooms are housed on the grounds. Also unknown is whether or not poop bags are provided. Since it is the responsibility of all owners to clean up after their pets, it is wise for owners to bring bags with them from home to assist them with this task. There are very few rules instituted regarding the use of Ernest Holman Dog Park.
Dogs are required to be current on all vaccinations and licensed with their respective city before visiting the dog park. It is also important to note that in all Sonoma County Regional Parks, dogs are not permitted within the bathrooms or shower areas. For a day of fun in the California sun, bring Fido for a visit to Ernest Holman Dog Park!
