Esplanade Beach Off Leash Dog Area

Esplanade Beach Off Leash Dog Area offers breathtaking scenery, sand, and surf in Pacifica, California. Renowned for its moderate temperatures and incredible views, this off-leash natural wonder is well loved by dogs and their owners who enjoy romps on the beach. 

If the gorgeous beach and soft lull of the ocean were not sufficient selling points, this beach is also fully enclosed. Fido can enjoy a frolic in the water while you relax beachside in a lounge chair without any fear of Fido's escape.

The beach itself is clean and easily accessible via a short but winding path and set of stairs. Hours for this stunning masterpiece are slightly irregular with the facilities available for public use on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 am to 8 pm, and on Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm. The beach area is closed on Sundays and Tuesdays for regular maintenance. 

This pristine gem does not offer poop bags on site or access to clean water. Visitors to the beach are asked to bring both with them along with a lounge chair for relaxing on the warm sand while Fido enjoys the ocean. At times of high tide, the waters can become dangerous, and during times of inclement weather, extreme caution is urged.

It is unknown if there are public bathroom facilities at Esplanade Beach Off-Leash Dog Area. As with all dog park participants, it is recommended that your dog be current on all vaccinations and bear the appropriate required state licensing tag. While at the beach, your dog is requested to show proper respect for all marine life.
