FIDO Field - Folsom Dog Park (at Cummings Family Park)

FIDO Field Dog Park is located in Folsom, California, and is considered part of the Cummings Family Park property. This off-leash dog facility is open to the public and provides fenced-in play areas for dogs to enjoy.

The City of Folsom Parks Department assumes responsibility for the oversight of the park. The dog area operates seasonally and is closed Wednesdays for maintenance work. Inclement weather necessitates closures; therefore, it is advisable to call the Parks Department prior to a visit to ensure it is open to the public during unusual weather conditions. 

FIDO Field Dog Park operates as an unmonitored play area. Because of this, owners are required to closely supervise all play involving their pets while on the premises.

This much-loved dog-friendly spot offers fenced grass play areas. These sections are designated for dogs of different sizes, including one area dedicated for use by small dogs of 25 lbs or less in weight. 

The play space contains benches for owners to enjoy while observing their dogs at play. These areas are well-shaded to keep dogs and their owners cool, and there is access to a plentiful and clean supply of water to keep your dog well-hydrated.

Cummings Family Park boasts of fun activities for the entire family including skateboarding and biking, making it an ideal destination for a day out with Fido and the kids.

Poop bags are provided, and park officials require all pet owners to promptly remove and dispose of any canine waste materials to preserve the cleanliness of the park.

FIDO Field Dog Park requires that dogs be leashed in all areas of the park that are not designated off-lead sections. Prong collars are strictly forbidden. 

All dogs must be under the full control of their owners, and dogs lacking in manners or displaying aggressive behaviors are prohibited. As with most dog parks, dogs in heat are not permitted on the property.

Children 15 years of age or younger are only allowed access to the property when in the presence of an adult. 

Food, tobacco, and other items such as baby pools, lawn furniture, and fire basins are not permitted.

Vaccinations are not mandated but are strongly encouraged by park authorities. Proof of state dog licensing is mandatory. Dogs exhibiting any type of illness, fleas, or ticks will be asked to leave the park.
