Florissant Dog Park is located on the ten-acre Duchesne Park property in Florissant, Missouri. A park beloved by pooches and their people alike, this popular dog playground boasts of two fully fenced spaces for dogs to enjoy. Florissant Dog Park is committed to providing a secure place where dogs can engage in regular off-leash exercise and enjoy socializing with other socially appropriate dogs.
To aid in this mandate, park officials have designed an enclosure specifically to meet the needs of dogs who are small, elderly, and timid. Here, dogs can have some fun with dogs who are better suited to their particular size, age, and personality. Off-leash activity necessitates the institution of safety precautions, and owner participation is important to ensure the well-being of all dogs enjoying the dog runs.
To assist with keeping each dog well-protected, owners are to actively supervise their pets as well as keep a leash with them in case it is needed. In accordance with Missouri state legislation, dogs should also remain on a lead in all public places as well as when entering and exiting the dog play areas. Florissant Dog Park is a private dog playground, and a membership is required to access the grounds.
Memberships can be purchased at the JFK or JJE Community Centers. Daily passes are available at a cost of $5 per dog for residents and $10 per dog for non-residents. Annual permits can be purchased for $30 for those residing in the Florissant region and $80 for those residing elsewhere. Membership passes are valid for a full calendar year. It is not known if water is provided on the grounds or if poop bags are available. With this in mind, owners must come prepared with all the things they may need for a successful visit to a dog park including bottled water, an appropriate dish, and poop bags. The responsibility for all pet waste removal lies with each owner.
