You can walk into this park from Ocean Beach or any of the streets adjacent to the park. The vast landscape backs right up to the park and covers a large rectangle in this section of the city. The three areas currently available to the public are located in several different locations throughout the park. You can find one in the southeast section at 2nd and Lincoln Way.
Another section of the park contains a fenced off-leash area at Fulton and 38th. This section is larger than a soccer field leaving ample space for fetch, frisbee, and other games. The area is a sandy turf makes for easy cleanup. The south-central section has a fenced off-leash area located on King Drive and 34th. The final area is an unfenced location in the Northeast section of the park.
Amenities are scattered throughout the park. They state you must bring your own bags to pick up after your dog however there are several locations where bags are available. Watering stations are available throughout the park as well as restrooms. Benches are scattered throughout and a good amount of foliage provides a fair bit of shade. The park is aesthetically pleasing and quite large section totaling about 1,000 acres of land.
You canine is free to walk with you on leash throughout the entire expanse of the park. In the off-leash areas, they are expected to remain within sight and voice control at all times. The park's website lists different events at this park as well as the regulations the city holds regarding your canine.
