The Golden Gate Park Off Leash Dog Area 3 is located in the western portion of the park. Visitors to this area are required to obey the regulations of park officials.
Poop bags are supplied in this area of the park, and it is important to note that it is a city by-law that all dog owners or walkers must also carry these items with them and immediately pick up and dispose of any canine waste produced by their pet.
Dog owners are also required to be present with their dog at all times during the park.
Dogs over the age of four months must be vaccinated for rabies and must also bear the appropriate dog licensing tag for their state.
While dog walkers are welcome in the Golden Gate Park Off Leash Dog Area 3, they are restricted to no more than nine dogs under their direct care.
This off leash park area is fully enclosed for the safety of your dog during his play time. Dogs who make use of the park are required to be socially appropriate. Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the premises.
The play space is quite large and is comprised mostly of dirt. Dog owners praise the spaciousness of the enclosures but lament that there is very little grass, meaning their dogs often leave the park dusty and dirty.
Water bowls are provided on site for your dog's hydration needs.
Seating is limited, and fencing is low for some dogs, so those with little canine escape artists will want to keep a very close eye on their dog while he is at play.
For a truly wonderful experience for you and your dog, check out the Golden Gate Park Off Leash Dog Area 3!
