Half Moon Bay Dog Park is a public park located just off the beach in Half Moon Bay, California. This small park is the coast's only off-leash dog park from Montara to Pescadero. As you are traveling to the park, you will pass Cameron's Inn & Restaurant. This restaurant offers a special patio area outside that you can enjoy with your furry friend.
Half Moon Bay Dog park is approximately 1,500 to 2,000 feet in size. The facility offers watering stations and poop bags, as well as restrooms for the human visitors. And while water is available at the park it is always a good idea to have extra on hand. Just in case. You will also find picnic tables with seating and a 'shed' area for the two-legged visitors to escape the elements when needed.
While visiting Half Moon Bay Dog Park, there are a few rules that owners should be aware of and abide by. Admittance is limited to four dogs per one human inside the park. Also, all of your dogs should be collared, showing identification tags. However, any choke chains or prong collars are to be removed before you allow your pup to mingle with the other dogs. As this is an off-leash facility, dogs that are deemed 'aggressive' are not welcome at Half Moon Bay.
You will find scoops along with biodegradable bags available at the facility for your convenience. Making sure to always clean up behind your fur baby is an important habit when visiting this or any dog park. Also, if your pup is a 'digger' be sure to fill in any holes he or she may have made while visiting. Remembering these simple things can help you leave the park as good or better than you found it. This allows others to continue having a wonderful place to bring their fur babies for a day of exercise and socializing.
