Harry Griffen Dog Park

Canine Corners Park is located within Harry Griffen Park in La Mesa, California. This dedicated dog facility boasts of three fully fenced dog areas suitable for off-leash play. One of the three runs is reserved for use by small dogs only with a second marked for dogs that have a more passive play style and would benefit from social time with less rambunctious pups. The third enclosure is a general play area for all other dogs to enjoy.

This beloved canine play space is well-equipped with all of the things that Fido needs for a great day at the park. Among the on-site amenities are a billboard to denote special announcements, water spigots and bowls, and an emergency kit in case of an accident or injury. Also available on-site are poop bags and pooper scoopers to assist owners in picking up and properly disposing of all canine waste materials in the provided trash receptacles.

Access to this public park is free of charge. Donations which are earmarked towards park maintenance and improvements are gladly accepted by park management. Though no public bathroom facilities are provided in the dog park itself, nearby Harry Griffen Park has several restrooms on the premises for public use. For families wishing to make a full day of fun at the park, Harry Griffen Park also offers some great recreational activities.

Visitors can choose from an afternoon spent exploring the 360-seat amphitheater, a run or walk on the on-site path, a rousing game of horseshoes, or even just some play time in the sand box or children's playgrounds. Picnic areas are also plentiful throughout both spaces. The picnic style seating is located in shaded areas to provide a cool, quiet place for visitors to enjoy a light lunch while observing Fido at play. It is important to note that smoking and alcohol are not permitted on the premises.
