Herb Katz Dog Park (at Joslyn Park)

The Herb Katz Dog Park is located at Joslyn Park. It’s 1.25 acres of fenced-in land that provides a safe place for your dog to run off-leash. You can choose from two different sides of the park, the smaller dog breed place or, the larger dog breed area. All the dogs that visit this park need to be licensed and vaccinated. 

Pet owners are required to show proof of both and place the tags on their dog's collar. Dogs need to remain on a leash when not located inside the designated dog area. Dogs that are showing aggression need to be removed from the premises immediately by their owner. Pet parents are required to hold the leash in their hand at all times in case of an emergency. 

You must also watch your dogs closely to assure they are safe and exhibiting good behavior. There is a large old tree located in the dog park area that provides plenty of shade for pet parents and dogs to relax. Cleaning up after your dog is mandatory so make sure you bring along plenty of doggie poop bags. There are trash cans located inside the dog park for your convenience. 

The Herb Katz Dog Park at Joslyn Park has a variety of terrain that includes cement, gravel, and dirt. Dogs are welcome to run and play in all areas of the designated dog park area. There is also plenty of room to play a game of fetch with your dog. Just make sure you bring along a ball or toys to play. 

Also, be prepared for other dogs at the park to join in the fun. Dogs that are possessive of their toys might get aggressive so if this happens, remove the toy to prevent hostile behavior among the dogs. Overall, the Herb Katz Dog Park at Joslyn Park is an excellent dog park that provides a safe environment for your dog to play, run and socialize with other dogs.
