It was acquired in parcels throughout the years of 1964 and 1966, and the city council officially approved it as Hickory Park in March of 1965. It is now the perfect park for families and pooches of all ages. When you come and visit Hickory Park, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment.
You will find a playground, large grass area, walking paths, restrooms, available water, picnic tables, picnic shelters, barbeque grills, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and so much more. Dogs can also come to the Hickory Park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay, and they may not run off from their owner's side.
During your stay in the Hickory Park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are requested by the city of Torrance. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to this park as the Hickory Park does not tolerate any destructive behavior.
In addition, pet parents must pick up and watch over their pooches while they are here. You should also carry water and dog bags for all of your fun times in this park. Hickory Park is a fabulous place to visit on any day of the week. If you have some time to visit this park, it is highly suggested. You will not be disappointed with what this city park has to offer.
