Hogan's Run Dog Park - Midland

Hogan’s Run Off-Leash Dog Park is a public dog park located in the Hogan’s Park in Midland, Texas. It is a very highly rated location among the community of dog owners living in the area due to its size, welcoming atmosphere and offered amenities. 

The five-acre Hogan’s Run Off-Leash Dog Park has a well-thought-out layout consisting of two fenced-in runs. The main section is very spacious and it is meant for large and medium-sized dogs. It is equipped with water spigots and water bowls for canine hydration, a kiddie pool for cooling off and agility equipment for dogs that like a challenge. 

The second run accommodates small dog breeds, yet still provides plenty of space for pooches to spread their legs and get a good dose of leash-free exercise. It is also equipped with a water fountain and has agility obstacles. Both areas are securely fenced and have a double-gated entry system that prevents dogs from slipping out as others enter the park. 

There are also several benches spread out across the dog park, in shaded or sheltered areas and some in the sun. The park offers plenty of open space and its surface consists of dirt and grass. Since it is mostly flat with just a few trees for shade, it might not be the ideal park for dogs who are less active and primarily like to sniff and explore lush, wooded areas. However, it is a great place for training sessions, games of fetch and canine socialization. 

Hogan’s Run Off-Leash Dog Park is equipped with everything you would want in a dog park and so much more. There are free waste bag dispensers, pooper scoopers and conveniently located trash cans for easy cleanup. If that wasn’t enough, in addition to the dog run, Hogan’s Park offers picnic areas, playgrounds, public restrooms, sports fields and nature trails. It is truly a great location for a day outdoors with the entire family.
