The Hudson Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Benson Park in Hudson, New Hampshire. In addition to the dog park off-leash area, the Benson Park features playgrounds, picnic areas, fishing, and a variety of trails for hiking and jogging.Â
The historic park is also home to several ponds and a 9/11 memorial. The dog park opened in the fall of 2012 and has since become a popular destination for dog owners living in the area. It is securely fenced and equipped with everything you would want in a dog park and more.Â
It has a well-designed layout that includes two separate areas for dogs to play in without a leash. The Hudson Dog Park has a large dog run and a small dog section. Both areas include benches and plenty of shade for dogs and owners to enjoy during the warmer weather.Â
The Hudson Dog Park has plenty of open space for dogs to run and roam with their buddies, as well as an agility course for dogs who enjoy the challenge. Plus, there are acres of beautiful walking trails that owners can take their leashed canine companions on, especially dogs who love to sniff around and explore.Â
The dog park is well maintained and clean, though it could use more grass in both areas as its surface is mostly gravel based. Free dog waste bags are available in both dog runs and help maintain this park clean and poop-free. If you visit, make sure to do your park and clean up after your pooch as well.Â
Though popular, the dog park is rarely crowded, making it an ideal location for play dates of games of fetch with your canine best friend. Lastly, though kids under 11-years old are not allowed in the off-leash areas, all dog breeds are welcome at this dog park as long as they are well-behaved!
