At the Independence Dog Park, a gentler play style reigns to ensure there are no injuries as a result of overly rambunctious playtime. To be certain, all dogs remain safe in the play areas and owners must carry a leash with them at all times, just in case it is needed.
Independence Dog Park is a public dog play facility, and access to its grounds is offered at no cost. Within the dog, runs are all of the things Fido and his family could need for a great day of fun. Independence Dog Park has provided Fido with drinking water and agility equipment to help meet his hydration needs and keep his brain and body active during his time in the play spaces.
For the benefit of all owners, there are benches scattered throughout areas with shade trees to provide a cool space to rest from the heat of the day. Also contained on the property are complimentary poop bags. While owners are expected to use these bags to clean up after their dogs, some visitors to Independence Dog Park have made note that the dispensers are sometimes empty. For this reason, it is always wise to bring a few extra bags from home to ensure you have a bag when you need it.
Independence Park also offers many fun outdoor activities to suit the tastes of every member of the family. A pool is housed on the premises for public use as well. There are also showers, lockers, and bathrooms on the grounds. For those who prefer a different type of sport, there are also basketball courts as well as trails which are suitable for hiking and biking.
The Independence Dog Park places no restrictions upon visitors to this public space. However, to help prevent the spread of disease, getting your dog all of the veterinarian recommended vaccinations are always an excellent idea. A city dog license tag is also appreciated.
