Jacinto Creek Park Dog Park

When pooches in South Sacramento need to run off their excess energy, their pet parents take them to the pawsome dog park in Elk Grove, the Jacinto Creek Park Dog Park. The city's furrific dog park is located in the eleven-acre, multi-purpose Jacinto Creek Park and is open to everyone – no membership required. 

If you arrive in a vehicle, parking is on the street and conveniently close to the entrance of the off-leash area. Your fur buddy won't need to contain their excitement for very long before they are through the staging gates and away, scampering around and making new furiends. If your pup is new to going to the dog park, go early in the day as the city's canine community love to converge in the dog park late afternoon for some pawsome get-togethers. Mornings are quieter and calmer, and the pawfect time for park novice pups. Don't forget all pooches going to the park need to be current on their vaccinations and have a state license.

The Jacinto Creek Park Dog Park is a sprawling acreage of ground which has been split into two compounds. Mini mutts have their own space and big breeds too. Although there's lots of room to run around, neither compound has much shade. There is a great drainage tunnel, half-buried in the ground which is a puptastic thing for pups to explore and hide in.

For owners' convenience, clean up bags and trash receptacles are plentiful, so be sure to help keep this puptastic park clean for all! There are drinking fountains here too, and in the summertime, fun splash pools for the pups to cool off in. The Jacinto Creek Park Dog Park is a woofderful spot for a fun afternoon with your pup!
