This beach offers picnic areas and bathrooms for use by the public. This attractive public space also shares trails with other local beaches. These dedicated walking spaces meander through the nearby naturally forested area and Emerald Bay Road. The trails are conducive to a leisurely afternoon walk or run with Fido. For a change of pace, why not bring along your bike? This dog-friendly natural space is available free of charge to the public. Leash laws are strictly observed in the Lake Tahoe region. For this reason, all dogs must remain on a leash at all times when on the premises.
Though the beach has posted no official regulations regarding use of the park, it is recommended that all dogs visiting this public space be current on all vaccinations and bear the appropriate state required license tag. In addition to this; though poop bags are not provided on site, it is mandatory that all visitors to the park properly clean up and dispose of their dog's waste materials to help preserve the integrity of this beautiful public beach. While Kiva Beach is a dog-friendly beach, some areas are off-limits to dogs. Signs are posted in well-lit areas to help direct dog owners to the sections that are designated for dogs and their owners to enjoy together.
For a fun time for the whole family, consider a trip to Kiva Beach!
