The fence is laid out in such a way that your canine can run the maximum range in any direction, but they still could not make it outside of your eyesight or voice control range. The ground here is hay; this helps to keep your canine much cleaner then they would be if they were playing on a dirt ground. The fence here does separate the dog park into different areas for large canines and small canines.
This park hosts several of the amenities you might expect for a neighborhood dog park. Poop bags are available at the entrance to the dog park, and garbage cans are scattered throughout. This park is reasonably well maintained, and these garbage cans are often emptied. There is also running water at this location in the form of a water fountain just inside the gate to the fenced section.
This water fountain has water dispensing at ground level for your canine and waist height for the human companion. There are several trees at the Knoll Hill Dog Park, many large enough to create a decent amount of shade for those underneath and they cast large shadows while the sun is low in the sky.
Unfortunately, none of this shade covers the seating available at this dog park while the sun is highest in the sky. Be sure to bring some sunscreen on those hot summer days. Overall, the Knoll Hill Dog Park makes for a great dog park for the locals of the area, and a great place to bring your canine to socialize and wear themselves out.
