Dogs who lack a solid recall should remain on a lead to ensure their safety. The off-leash play area is quite near to the lake; however, many visitors remark that the water is quite polluted and not safe for swimming. Laguna Lake Off-Leash Dog Area is a public dog playground. Park officials are pleased to invite all dogs and their owners to enjoy their facility free of charge.
A group of volunteers known as the Friends of Laguna Lake Dog Park is actively fundraising to earn monies for future improvements to this beloved dog play haven. Donations are gratefully accepted. Laguna Lake Off-Leash Dog Area provides poop bags for owners to use to clean up after their pets. The responsibility for proper canine waste disposal lies with each owner.
Housed on the grounds for the convenience of all owners are benches in areas which offer plentiful shade. Unfortunately, there is no water access at this lovely public dog play space. Owners should bring bottled water with them from home. Bathrooms are available on the grounds for public use. Laguna Lake Park is home to several attractions for families to enjoy.
Among the on-site activities are a playground, picnic areas, barbecues, volleyball courts, fitness stations, and a disc golf course. Laguna Lake Park is sometimes confused with Laguna Hills Park. Laguna Hills Park does not permit any off-leash activity, and hefty fines are levied for any violation of this by-law.
There are no officially posted regulations visitors to Laguna Lake Off-Leash Dog Area must observe. However, up to date vaccinations are an excellent way to protect against disease, and a city dog license is always appreciated.
