Lake Gregory Dog Park

Lake Gregory is a gorgeous mountain lake with tons of different activities like hiking, fishing, and boating. A little-known treasure of this park is the fenced but lakeside dog park located on the southern shores of Lake Gregory. The dog park is not a co-mingled dog park, meaning they are separated into sections for large and small dogs. 

The large dog section goes right up to the water and allows your canine to splash along the shoreline or jump right in and swim. The grounds next to the lake, due to the high levels of traffic, don't grow much grass and in fact turn to mud rather quickly as the canines come in and out of the lake. Aesthetically, this park is fantastic. 

Tall trees surround the whole lake and make for beautiful views from all angles. The grounds here stay clean and well maintained, though your canine will likely still leave pretty dirty due to the mud at the shoreline. There are poop bags available and garbage cans scattered throughout the park for your convenience. 

At this park, there is also a three-mile walking and hiking trail that circles the lake. Your canine is allowed on this trail, but anytime your canine is outside of the dog park they are required to remain on a leash. This trail that circles the park is long enough to give you and your canine a good work out, and you will likely end the day entirely worn out. 

There are bikers and runners on this trail so if your canine likes to go after the occasional biker or squirrel, make sure you keep a good grip on that leash. Overall, you could not ask for a better place to bring your canine to get some exercise and enjoy some sunshine. The views are incredible, there is plenty of space to run and play, and the park stays clean and looking sharp.
