Need a new place to walk your dog? Leash up your pup and head over to Lake View Park. Located in the northern part of Huntington Beach, this neighborhood green space is named after the adjacent elementary school. Your furry friend will be delighted to go for a stroll in this furrific park.
At just over two acres, Lake View Park isn’t necessarily the largest park in the area. But don’t let that deter you, it still has plenty of room for your pooch to roam. The first thing your pup will want to do when they arrive is walk around the paved walking path. Since it passes through the park’s main areas, your furry friend can see all that's happening on the property.
To extend
your walk, take a couple laps around the open lawn. Your pup will love feeling the grass
beneath their paws. Plus, their nose will get right to work with all the new
smells. Benches can be found throughout the park. So if your dog’s paws need a break, stop for a minute and let them take a load off.
If you have two legged children in tow, stop by the
playground and let them burn off some energy. Here your will find a large sand
area and some puptacular swings. You can also bring a ball along and play catch out on the expansive field. Lake View Park has a few picnic tables. So pack a
sandwich for you and some biscuits for your dog and stick around for lunch.
Since this park is not very big, it’s super important you
bring some clean up bags and promptly pick up after your pooch. After all,
funky smells travel fast! And don’t forget to also carry plenty of cold water
for your pal. No bones about it, Lake View Park will make your pup’s tail wag!
