This park does have quite a few trees that have grown into quite the splendors. They provide a high canopy of leaves to the park which in turn produces a great deal of shade. Doggie bags are available throughout the park, and garbage cans are placed at a few locations. This park is very well maintained, and these garbage cans are emptied by city workers every weekday morning.
This park is a gravel type turf. Your canine will stay pretty clean when coming to this park and picking up after your canine is pretty easy. Dogs often do like to dig in the gravel, and you are required to fill in the holes that your canine creates.
Water is available at this location inside the fenced area. There is a bowl connected to the water fountain, so you do not have to bring your own, but at times where this park is busy, it may be nice if you thought to bring your own.
This dog park is not the entire park. There are playgrounds for kids, pavilions and picnic tables for family picnics or BBQ's. Plenty of walking trails and beautiful grass fields can also be found. Your canine is allowed in the rest of the park, but anytime they are outside of the fenced section they are required to be on a leash.
Public restrooms are also available, although your canine is not allowed inside any of the facilities or on the playground. Overall, this makes for a great park to bring your canine and family to come and spend a few hours.
