Lime Ridge Recreation Off Leash Dog Area (North)

Concord, California is a lovely city that is approximately 29 miles east of San Francisco, giving you easy access to Napa Valley and true wine country. What is even more phenomenal is the Lime Ridge Recreation Park that has a nice off-leash area for your pooch and plenty of trails for you to enjoy. 

California is an outdoor playland, and Lime Ridge lives up to that lifestyle. It is situated on the east side of the Walnut Creek and goes all the way up to Mount Diablo. This grand park is surrounded by beautiful limestone, giving it the name Lime Ridge. If scenic views are what you are looking for, you will find them here. 

In the north area, there is an off-leash area for dogs. This area is located just north of Ygnacio. Dogs who visit the off-leash area should be good with voice and sight commands. Otherwise, they should just be leashed. This park is a bunch of wide open spaces and dogs who are not properly trained could put themselves at risk of being lost or hurt. 

While there are off-leash areas in the park, rangers often do suggest to keep your puppy on-leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the middle section of the park south of Ygnacio at all. And in other southern areas, dogs must be on-leash at all times. This park is filled with natural beauty, wildlife, nature, limestone and water sources.
