Marina Park and Beach

When it's a beautiful day out in Ventura, one of the best places to take your furry pal is Marina Park. Located at the southern end of Pierpoint Boulevard, this 15-acre beachfront site is just a quick drive from Highway 101, making it a convenient spot to stretch your legs and enjoy some quality time with your canine BFF!

Four-legged visitors to this puptastic park will appreciate the large and open grassy area where they can sniff around to their heart's content. Be sure to stoop and scoop if your doggo makes a mess! There are also some benches where you can sit and read a book while your furry friend relaxes at your feet. Or, find a shady spot under a tree, spread out a picnic blanket, and just hang out with your pup!

If your pooch needs to get the wiggles out, follow the paved walking path around the perimeter of the park to let them burn off their boundless energy. It also leads to a beach where your doggo is welcome as long as they are leashed. The beach isn't very big, but here you and Fido can enjoy furrific ocean views, watch boats entering and leaving the harbor, and go exploring on the rocks. Make sure you have a towel handy if your pooch decides to jump into the waves—with Ventura's whipping winds, the water is ice-cold on most days!

Cap off your visit with a pleasant picnic at one of the picnic tables in the park section of the site. Barbecue grills are located nearby, so remember to fill your cooler with your favorite grub before you leave the house! Otherwise, you and Fido can make the short trip to downtown Ventura and grab a bite to eat at a dog-friendly restaurant. Definitely pack water and clean-up bags for a day at this puptastic park!
