McConnell State Recreation Area

Your dog can also come with you to the McConnell State Recreational Area, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay, and they must remain by your side at all times. During your time in McConnell State Recreation Area, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the California State Parks and Recreation System. 

Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the McConnell State Recreational Area, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to this park as the McConnell State Recreational Area does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. 

Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation.
