Military Trail Dog Park

Sitting right on the edge of the shore, the community of Miami Shores provides residents with sandy shores, lots of sun, and miles of sidewalks to run and walk on. Sidewalks aren't always the best for giving Fido a walk though, and that's why the neighborhood also provides residents with the chance to visit Military Trail Dog Park. The dog park is vibrant and open, and is found inside the larger Military Trail Park.

The larger park is a bustling and blooming area filled with tall trees, a gorgeous grassy lawn, amenities, and a trail. Parking can be around in a small gravel parking area on the south side of the park, and connects to the dog area by a paved trail. 

The dog park is completely fenced-in, with separate areas for large and small dogs, with a grass terrain and shade covering the area. In the large dog park area, dog walkers will enjoy amenities of a double-gated entrance into the park, with benches, a 5-foot high chainlink fence, a water fountain for humans, kids, and dogs, clean-up stations, and trash bins to use.

The smaller dog area is similar to the large dog area, only it doesn't offer as much room and has a larger shaded spot. Fido will enjoy the chance to run around off leash and get to experience some great amenities, but will also enjoy the chance to explore the rest of the dog-friendly park of Military Trail Park. The park outside the dog area is dog-friendly to leashed dogs, offering a shaded playground, picnic tables, a .4-mile trail made from concrete, benches, and water fountains near the playground. It's a great area to walk around in a loop to get away from the active dog center of the park.

Walking or roaming free, Military Trail Dog Park and Military Trail Park will be sure to provide a safe and cozy spot to enjoy the Florida sun and some fresh air.
