When you come and visit the Millerton Lake State Recreation Area, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. You will find boat ramps, campsites, RV sites with hookups, hiking trails, horseback riding trails, cultural sites, picnic tables, picnic shelters, exhibits, programs, guided tours, a beach area, family programs.
In addition, there is plenty of parking, restrooms, showers, outdoor showers, drinking water, trash areas, and accessibility for wheelchairs. You can also engage in a wide range of recreational activities at the Millerton Lake State Recreation Area. Dogs can come too, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. During your trip to this recreational site, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the state park officials.
Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to the Millerton Lake State Recreation Area as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here.
