Mission Creek Dog Park

Mission Bay, a neighborhood near Giants Stadium in San Francisco, recently installed a popular dog park at Mission Creek Park. The dog park is within walking distance of the ballpark and gives neighborhood residents the chance to meet up and socialize with their dogs. Of course, dogs love to come and play with their friends too! 

The dog park itself is fully enclosed, allowing dogs to play off-leash within the park. Most of the terrain is gravel, which allows for drainage and prevents mud, and the rest of the park is a stretch of artificial turf that dogs seem to love. Mission Creek Dog Park also offers all of the amenities that dog owners could ask for. 

There are water fountains for both humans and dogs, with a metal bowl that dogs can drink out of. Picnic tables scattered throughout the park are shaded by trees, and the entire play area is perfectly flat. This park has become quite popular, so you can expect to run into a lot of other dog owners while visiting, which gives your dog the opportunity to become a better-socialized playmate!  

Mission Creek Dog Park is maintained by the Mission Bay Park System, and they ensure that the park is always kept clean and maintained. Poop bags and dispensers are provided, and the posted rules are enforced by both the locals and the park rangers. Residents report that parking can be difficult to come by, especially on game days, when parking meter prices spike to special event rates. 

That being said, the park is within walking distance of all of Mission Bay, so if you are a resident looking for a place to hang out with your dog, this is the perfect park for you. Come expecting a lot of community and be ready to meet other people when the sun is shining. This park is the ideal spot for anyone looking to lay meet their neighbors or play with their dog before the baseball game!
