Moorpark Dog Park is a public dog park located at the College View Park in Moorpark, California. In addition to the dog park, the four-acre park features lots of outdoor facilities and activities for the whole family. There is a basketball court, a playground, multi-purpose sports fields, and picnic areas with barbecues. The park is equipped with public restrooms, though they do get closed earlier than the rest of the park.Â
Although the College View Park is both dog and family-friendly, children under six years of age are not allowed in the off-leash areas. The Moorpark Dog Park is a popular location for dog owners living in the area for several reasons. It is conveniently located, ADA accessible, and provides a safe, securely fenced environment for dogs to get their daily dose of leash-free exercise.Â
The park is three-quarters of an acre in size and has two separate areas for dogs to play in with their own separate gated entrances. There is a small dog section and a large breed area which helps prevent dogs from getting trampled during playtime. The Moorpark Dog Park is lined with large, mature trees that provide plenty of shade and its surface is partially grassy and gravel-covered. Though it rarely gets muddy or dusty, it is a good idea to pack a small towel for your dog’s paws just in case.Â
The Moorpark Dog Park is equipped with pet waste disposal stations and waste disposal trash cans, which is why this beautiful park is so well-maintained and clean. There are benches that are shaped like dog bones that owners can relax on while they watch their dogs run and play with their furry friends. It is a perfect place for doggie play dates, games of fetch or simply a relaxing afternoon in the park with your four-legged best friend.Â
