Park officials have ensured there is access to complimentary poop bags, and there are many trash receptacles throughout the various bike trails and public access areas of the park. Owners are asked to carry poop bags with them while enjoying the trails and to assist park officials in maintaining the pristine beauty of the park by prompt picking up and disposing of any canine waste materials their dog produces during his visit.
The Platte River Trail is a favorite amongst dogs and their owners alike. Benches and picnic areas are provided for use by visitors to the park, and there is also a porta potty on site for when "nature calls." This natural beauty is home to many different types of wildlife. If your dog has high prey drive or is prone to chase wild animals, it is best to keep him leashed during his time on the property. Access to this park is free of charge.
Owners are asked to keep their dogs on a lead when traveling to and from the park and to observe leash laws in areas that are not designated for canine use.Though there are no regulations governing the use of the space, it is recommended that all dogs attending the park be current on all vaccinations and bear the required state license tag.
For an opportunity to commune with nature and enjoy some time with Fido too, consider a visit to Morad Off-Leash Dog Area.
